Typically we start Memorial Day weekend and run through Labor Day weekend. Our first tour of the day starts at 10:35 am from Friday Harbor. Our last trolley returns to Friday Harbor at 6:10 pm.
In Friday harbor we have a kiosk directly across the street from the ferry landing. At our kiosk we accept credit cards as well as cash. If you purchase a ticket at one of our stops around the island, we can only accept cash due to unreliable internet service. At this time we do not take reservations for the hop on/off tours, but please check back later.
Yes, we provide an informational video and audio describing the different trolley sites. Our drivers also add their knowledge and history of the island, sprinkled with entertainment and humor!
If you stay on the full jolly trolley tour, it takes approximately an hour and a half. You can get off at any of the stops to visit the site at your leisure. The next trolley will come by approximately an hour later. Times may vary slightly depending on the ferry schedule. If we are running a special event that day, our tours may vary so please check the schedule at the kiosk, or on our website. Plan to be at your stop at least 5 minutes prior to the pick up time.
Yes, each of the stops with the exception of the Sculpture Park have restrooms. The Sculpture Park sits on the edge of the Roche Harbor Resort, which has restrooms. If you need to use a restroom, you will need to wait for the next trolley arrival.
The San Juan Islands sit in the "rain shadow" of the Olympic Mountains. Which means, we have the fortune of enjoying more dry and sunny days than in the Seattle area. That being said, we can get rainy days in the Summertime. Because our trolleys are partially open air, we may not run tours on bad weather days. Please check our website or give us a call. We also suggest bringing a light sweater or coat for those cooler days.
Yes, we love dogs! In fact we have two of our own, dogs are family! Please only bring well behaved dogs, and they cannot take up any seats.
Water is acceptable, other drinks/food are not to be consumed on the trolleys. Enjoy at any of the sites! The reason we ask this is because drinks and food can attract bees. With open air trolleys we want to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable ride!
